Christmas Redux

Christmas 2010 has come and gone.  It was perfect.  Quiet. Wonderful weather. Delicious food.  And a Garmin!!

We spent Christmas Eve with some friends and their family.  The evening was filled with Chambord Manhattans, cheese platter and wine.  We ate a delicious tourtière including homemade ketchups.  All and all it was a wonderful evening with great conversations, great laughs and good times.  Also, we had to take a cab home.

Christmas day we woke up early.  Dani was excited.  Santa left a surprise probably because Dani was so good this year.  It was a new TV!  I got Dani a book, a movie, a belt and a bag of macadamia nuts — to represent a trip to Honolulu in April!

Dani got me a Garmin Forerunner 410!  So exciting!  A watch to keep my running in line.

Dani cooked a wonderful Christmas breakfast including eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast.  Orange juice and champagne – although with all the Chambord Manhattans the night before.

We spent the day mostly in pajamas watching TV and just hanging out.  Later in the afternoon I started preparing our Christmas dinner – Beef Wellington!  Which I am not too proud to say turned out pretty near perfect.

We also went for a walk during the day – it was a gorgeous +5!  It was a perfect day!
