Smile! It’s Casablanca!

That is what it said on a sticker at each border patrol gate. At first, I thought it was a sticker indicating you were on camera but no, instead, Smile! It’s Casablanca!

The first evening here as always was a bit overwhelming….getting orientated, finding food, making sure Dani is having all her needs met.

I am really hoping my rudimentary French somehow surprises me and comes flooding back to me but that seems doubtful.

After a delicious crepe breakfast, we wandered around the Medina and then to Hassan II Mosque. It is the largest in Africa with construction cost estimated to be as high as $800 million. It certainly is beautiful.
