Flight to Cusco

This may have been one of the singular most spectacular and terrifying flights of my life.

The small plane (about 38 seats) departed Lima (sea level) and climbs quickly. This is alarming because the cabin can’t quite pressurize fast enough? At least that is what Dani and I were discussing as we

watched the cold air vent into the plane like clouds for approximately 15 minutes. The plane is full of tourists all wondering aloud if we should be turning back. We continue so assume it is all fine.

The view of the Andean peaks as we reach Cusco on our one hour flight are magnificent. I wish I could have photographed them.

The descent into Cusco feels like it barely happens. It is truly amazing.
