Rooms in Turkey

Selcuk
Boomerang Guest House
Compared to all the rooms of the past two weeks this one seems LUXURIOUS. There is a private terrace to the garden, a fridge and a snack tray. The bathroom has the best shower!

Pamukkale
Hotel Dort Mevism
The room is completely adequate but nothing special. There was a large pool but we didn’t use it. WiFi only available in the common areas. A little bit outside of town but definitely walking distance. No AC.

Antalya
White Garden Pansion
We were only here for two nights. The breakfast was good with a lot of fresh fruit. The room had a tub which was the first that we had seen in our travels to Turkey. The location was great in the old city and close to a private beach.

Goreme/Cappadocia
Kelebek Special Cave Hotel
This place was also recommended by a friend. The views from the hotel are amazing and the experience of staying in a cave is very unique. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful. The pool was absolutely lovely.

Istanbul
Portus House (hostel)
This was recommend to us by a friend. Cost was €55 per night and we stayed 3 nights.

Our room was small, but quite adequate, with a double bed and also a twin bed (used for luggage storage). WiFi was available in the room, but didn’t work that great. The room had AC. On arrival the hotel didn’t have water… Presumably due to some construction on the street. Shared bathroom was not an issue, the shower and toilet are in separate rooms. Location was good – close to the tram and easy access to airport.
